President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Tănase was appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gabriel on August 8, 2018. Mr. Tănase has been the Managing Director of RMGC for 10 years, a position which he continues to hold. Mr. Tănase joined RMGC in February 2008, coming from the largest cable communications operator in Romania, UPC. Within UPC, Mr. Tănase coordinated the merger of two large cable operators, UPC and Astral, which combined employed a workforce of 3,600 people and held the position of CFO for 7 years. Previously, Mr. Tănase - an expert in financial management - worked in financial and business consultancy, first at the Ministry of Finance and then with Arthur Andersen.

Richard BrownRichard Brown
Chief Financial Officer
Richard Brown is the Chief Financial Officer of Gabriel. Mr. Brown joined Gabriel in March 2011 as Chief Commercial Officer and Corporate Secretary with responsibility for its commercial operations and regulatory compliance and transitioned to CFO in 2019. Prior to joining Gabriel, Richard spent over 18 years in corporate advisory roles specialising in public company M&A mandates, capital markets IPO/fundraising transactions and regulatory advice, notably at the London Stock Exchange, KPMG Corporate Finance and more recently the mining focused investment bank Ambrian Partners Limited, where he was Head of Corporate Finance for 4 years and thereafter the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Brown is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Simon Lusty
Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Simon Lusty is the Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Gabriel. Prior to joining Gabriel in September 2011, Mr. Lusty was a senior corporate lawyer in a leading UK law firm. During this time, Mr. Lusty gained significant experience advising financial sponsors, multinational corporates and private equity firms across a wide range of corporate transactions, including securities offerings, financings, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and strategic investments. Mr. Lusty’s practice had a particular focus on advising international clients acting in the energy and natural resources sectors and he was a key member of the firm’s mining and metals practice.
